Maaiee Poshan Sneham vs regular baby hair oils — pure cow ghee, Ayurvedic Asta Aushadhi herbs, and nutrient-rich botanical oils for baby scalp nourishment, cradle cap comfort, softness, gentle scalp balance, and traditional baby hair massage care.
The Science
Brahmi and Shankpushpi are the two Medhya Rasayana herbs documented in Charaka Samhita for brain development and nervous system nourishment. Together they form the "Medhya Dvaya" — the twin brain tonics — at the heart of Poshan Sneham.
The Evening Protocol
Rooted in Charaka Samhita. Golden herbs Brahmi and Shankpushpi. A 15-minute evening ritual that nourishes your baby's skin, calms the nervous system, and builds the bond — the way it was always meant to be.
Pour 5–7 ml of Poshan Amrit into clean palms. Rub together for 20 seconds until warm. Never microwave — palm-warming preserves the Dasapushpadi herb complex.
A few drops on fingertips. Gentle circular pressure on scalp — avoiding the fontanelle. Brahmi and Shankpushpi absorb through the scalp to support brain and nervous system nourishment. This is the step most closely referenced in classical Kaumarabhritya Medhya massage protocol.
Long, slow, rhythmic strokes from head to toe. Jojoba-almond base absorbs beautifully — no greasiness, no slipping. Gentle circular motion on the belly clockwise. Avoid the fontanelle. Consistent rhythm signals safety to the developing nervous system.
Allow oil to absorb for 10–15 minutes. Then bathe with Anmira Anaya Head-to-Toe Wash. This Snana after Abhyanga completes the classical Kaumarabhritya newborn care routine.
After massage comes the bath. After the bath comes moisture. Maaiee's complete routine — formulated to work in synergy — the way classical texts always intended.
Your Questions, Answered
Everything Parents Ask First
Six questions. Honest science. No marketing fluff.
Poshan Sneham is formulated from calming, nourishing five-oil base — jojoba, almond, sunflower, coconut, cow ghee — absorbs more easily. Jojoba softens the crust so it lifts naturally. Neem controls the yeast that often makes cradle cap worse. Calendula calms the inflammation underneath the flakes.
Poshan Sneham is ideal for the evening massage before bath and bedtime. The chamomile essential oil, shankpushpi, and lavender infusion are specifically calming — multiple infant sleep studies show aromatherapy-enhanced massage before bedtime improves sleep onset time and sleep duration. That said, it can be used any time. For morning massage focused on strength and muscle development, Poshan Amrit is the classical choice.
Anantmool (Indian Sarsaparilla) is a classical Ayurvedic herb traditionally used to soothe delicate skin. In baby scalp care, it helps comfort dry, flaky scalps, supports the skin's natural barrier, helping comfort cradle cap–prone skin while supporting a healthy scalp barrier in babies.
Maaiee has Neem, Anantmool, Coconut Oil, Calendula, Turmeric & Ghrita with soothing botanical oils are valued for dry, flaky, cradle cap-prone scalp comfort, scalp softness, gentle nourishment, and delicate baby head massage care.
The Vitamin A in Cow Ghee and the Vitamin E in Almond and Jojoba oils are both directly involved in healthy retinal development and vision in infants. Amla — the highest natural source of Vitamin C — supports collagen formation in the developing eye tissue.
